Job and wages

The job is your most regular source of money. But a job is not a button you press, it is played: the better you finish a small skill game, the more you earn. As you work your job level rises and better-paying jobs open up.

How you work

You go into the Job section of the Job tab and start working. When the job finishes you take your wage and cannot work again for a while. When the wait is over, you work again.

This loop is the game's most stable income: it does not pay the big sums a business does, but it is always there and requires no investment at all.

If you are VIP the wait between jobs is shorter.

The skill check

Here is the real part of the job. While working, a small skill game appears, and your wage depends on how well you finish it.

Higher jobs pay more but the window for a perfect hit narrows. So levelling up is not enough by itself, you also have to pay real attention. That is what stops the game from being a clicker.

Job level

Every shift earns you job experience. This is a number separate from your character's general level: a high-level player may have a low job level, and the other way round.

As your job level rises, new jobs open up. There are 20 jobs in total; the lowest pays a modest wage, the highest many times that. So the job ladder is the game's longest and steadiest line of progress.

Once a job is unlocked you can switch to it whenever you like. If the narrow window of a high-paying job is giving you trouble, staying one step lower is also a sensible choice.

The working streak

Work at least once every day and your streak grows. The streak raises the gold you earn from the job as a percentage: the longer the streak, the higher your wage, up to a ceiling.
