Quests, streak, rankings

The game gives you three goals every day and four every week. These goals invent no new gameplay — they add a purpose and a reward to what you already do. There are also five ranking boards, and each one rewards a different style of play.

Daily quests

Every day you get three quests, and they are yours alone: the player next to you has different ones.

The weekly campaign

We call the weekly quests a campaign, and they differ from the dailies in two ways:

A campaign's difficulty is tuned to your level: something reasonable is asked of a new player and of a veteran alike. Campaigns cannot be swapped.

Campaigns reset at the start of every week.

The working streak

Work at least once a day and your streak grows, raising the gold you earn from the job. The details are on Job and wages, but the short version is this: the streak is the easiest way to raise your earnings without investing anything.

If you miss a day the streak breaks; you can save it with gems within a short window.

The ranking boards

There are five boards, and that is deliberate: so that someone losing on power can win somewhere else.

You see the player boards both in your own country and world-wide. So even if you are not in the world's top hundred, you can see the summit in your country.

Some rules: a player with zero points is not ranked (it says "not ranked yet"), bots appear on no board, and a player who has not settled anywhere appears only on the world board.

You can also see the top ten on the game's website; the full lists are inside the game.
